The Grandstand is an outdoor amphitheater built around a one-mile dirt racing track. The permanent seating structure rises behind the track, with the stage positioned at one end. A roof covers the upper grandstand sections, while the General Track area and lower sections are open to the sky.

The Grandstand has hosted every major name in country, rock, and pop touring since the 1960s, and it carries a sense of history that purpose-built arenas simply do not have. The acoustics on a warm August night, with the stage facing the full grandstand, reward the center sections particularly well.
